| The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda started cooperation with Statistics South Africa since it’s establishment in 2005. The partnership was more strengthened when Statistics South Africa handed over to NISR to host the Africa Symposia in 2007 where many heads of National Statistical Offices from Africa and other Statisticians all over the world attended. The partnership looked at mostly; capacity building of young statisticians, exchange of statistics expertise, support to the development of NISR |

| The Centre Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics pledged support to the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda in 2009. This partnership was established during the visit of the Director General of NISR and other staff to CAPMAS – Egypt. CAPMAS has high experience in statistics field and it is ranked as the 1st Statistics Agency in Africa according to the 2007 World Bank Report |
