This was the forth General Population and Housing Census with the main purpose to provide demographic and socio-economic statistics on the people of Rwanda for the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS), District Development Plans (DDP) and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

FinScope Rwanda 2008 not only enables the assessment of the current landscape of financial access in Rwanda,but also provides a benchmark for repeat surveys that will enable the impact of new access related policy interventions to be assessed.

The Establishment Census Publication for 2011 provides a comprehensive data base that will be utilized in creating business registers anf in conducting future business survey. The Census collaborating organizations mentioned above are full of hope that the census results would help decision makers setting forth policies and programs that would accelerate the pace of development of nonagricultural economic sectors of Rwanda.

This service charter spells out the role of NISR, and highlights the services offered and requirements therein. It lists the service centers at which our services can be accessed and the guiding legal instruments.

The index for products manufactured for sale on the local market has maintained a steady upward trend. Compared to February 2005, the index for March 2005 recorded a slight increase of 0.3% whilst compared to March 2004 (104.0); prices for local sales were 12.3 % higher.

At the end of June 2005, the Producer Price Index for products manufactured for sale on the local market stood at 117.3, following an increase of (+1.0%) in April and a decrease of (–0.1%) and (–0.5%) in May and June respectively.
