Consumer Price Index (CPI) - November 2013

In November 2013 the All Urban general index is established at 123.3 this stands for a decrease of 0.92% over the previous month which was 124.5. In annual change it increased by 4.58% compared to 5.10% in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 4.2% during the month of November 2013.

2013 African Statistics Day in Rwanda

Every year, in November, the African statistical community celebrates the African Statistics Day (ASD) with the objective of raising public awareness about the importance of statistics in the economic and social development of the continent.

Producer Price Index Report (Third Quarter 2013)

The index for the Third quarter 2013 registered an increase of  0.65 percent compared to the index of the previous quarter of 2013.

Food prices raise inflation in Rwanda

Rwanda's consumer price index rose by 5.10 percent in October, putting the annual inflation rate at 4.2 percent.

It is noted that the increase of 0.43 in prices of Food and non alcoholic beverages is primary attributable to the increase of 0.92 of Bread and Cereals.

In annual change it increased by 5.10% (5.099%) compared to 5.10% (5.095%) in the previous month. This gives a general inflation rate by an annual average of 4.2% during the month of October 2013.

Every year in November, the African statistical community celebrates the African Statistics Day (ASD) with the objective of raising public awareness about the importance of statistics in the economic and social development of the continent. The decision of celebrating ASD every year was taken since 1990 by the twenty-fifth session of the United Nations Economic for Africa and the Sixteenth Meeting of African ministers responsible for Economic Planning and development.
