GDP National Accounts, 2022

In 2022, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 13,716 billion, up from Frw 10.930 billion in 2021. Services sector contributed 47 percent of GDP, Agriculture sector contributed 25 percent of the GDP, and Industry sector contributed 21 percent of GDP while 7 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes less subsidies on products.


 


GDP National Accounts, 2021

In 2021, GDP at current market prices was estimated at Frw 10,944 billion, up from Frw 9,607 billion in 2020. Services sector contributed 48 percent of GDP, Agriculture sector contributed 24 percent of GDP, and Industry sector contributed 20 percent of GDP while 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes less subsidies on products.


GDP National Accounts, 2020

In 2020, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 9.746 billion, up from Frw 9.315 billion in 2019,estimates calculated in 2017 prices show that GDP decreased 3.4 percent compared to 2019. This reflects the ongoing public health catastrophe of covid19.

In 2019, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 9.313 billion, up from Frw 8.298 billion in 2018. Services sector contributed 49 percent of GDP, Agriculture sector contributed 24 percent of the GDP, Industry sector contributed 19 percent of GDP while 8 percent was attributed to adjustment for taxes less subsidies on products.


GDP National Accounts, 2018

In 2018, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 8,189 billion, up from Frw 7,600 billion in 2017.Estimates calculated in 2014 prices shows that GDP was 8.6 percent higher in real terms compared to 2017.


GDP National Accounts, 2017

In 2017, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 7,597 billion, up from Rwf 6,672 billion in 2016. Estimates calculated in 2014 prices shows that GDP was 6.1 percent higher in real terms compared to 2016.

In  2016, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Frw 6,618 billion. estimates calculated in 2014 prices shows that GDP was 5.9 percent higher in real terms compared to the previous year.

 


GDP - National Accounts, 2015

In 2015, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 5,837 billion, up from Rwf 5,395 billion in 2014. Estimates calculated in 2011 prices shows that GDP was 6.9 percent higher in real terms compared to 2014.

In 2014, GDP at current market prices was estimated to be Rwf 5,389 billion, up from Rwf 4,864 billion in 2013, estimates calculated in 2011 prices shows that GDP was 7 percent higher in real terms compared to 2013.


GDP - National Accounts, 2013

These series, which are expressed at constant 2011 prices as well as in current prices, are the result of extrapolating the new benchmark supply use table (SUT) for the year 2011.
