Recognizing this, Rwanda takes a pioneering step forward with the inauguration of the Gender Data Lab (GDL). Developed collaboratively by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), PARIS21, and the Gender Monitoring Office (GMO), the GDL embodies Rwanda's commitment to closing gender data gaps and fostering inclusive development.

The competition organized by NISR focus on only on coding and creating visualizations but also; it aims at empowering the future leaders with statistical prowess.
