Formal external trade in Goods report (February 2024)
The deficit in the balance of formal trade in goods was US$ 438.89 million in February 2024, an increase of 15.25 percent compared to the previous month of January 2024. Year-to-year, the formal trade in goods deficit increased by 62.17 percent on the deficit of February 2023.
Producer Price Index Report - February 2024
Rwanda’s general Producer Price Index combining both prices for local and export products registered an annual increase of 13.9 percent in February 2024, Local PPI increased by 12.8 percent in February 2024, and Export PPI increased by 16.8 percent in February 2024.

Rwanda's inflation is 4.9 percent year on year in February 2024
Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), main gauge of inflation increased by 4.9 percent year on year in February 2024 down from 5 percent in January 2023.
In February 2024, ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ increased by 6.3 percent on annual basis and it increased by 3.7 percent on monthly basis. Transport increased by 8.1 percent on annual basis and it increased by 1.4 percent on monthly basis.
Rwanda's inflation is 5 percent year on year in January 2024
Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), main gauge of inflation increased by 5 percent year on year in January 2024 down from 6.4 percent in December 2023.
In January 2024, ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ increased by 7.4 percent on annual basis and it decreased by 1.3 percent on monthly basis. Transport increased by 6.4 percent on annual basis and it increased by 0.3 percent on monthly basis.

Guidelines for Quality Assessment of Administrative Data
The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) needs raw data for the production of official statistics. Apart from data obtained through surveys and censuses, NISR is increasingly using data collected and maintained by other institutions through their daily administrative records. Administrative data refers to information collected primarily for administrative (not research) purposes.
NISR Survey Operating Standard Procedure Manual
The principal purposes of this MANUAL are to:
a. Secure an optimum degree of Statewide uniformity in surveying.
b. Establish and maintain survey standards.
c. Improve the overall efficiency of the Division's survey function.
d. Provide a single reference source for Division-wide surveying policies, procedures, and information
CRVS NATIONAL STRATEGIC PLAN
The mission of the desired CRVS system is “To build a modern, timely, complete and integrated CRVS system to ensure legal identity for all, good governance and evidence-based decision making for sustainable development”. It envisages that by establishing a permanent, continuous, compulsory and universal vital events registration and vital statistics system the three identified strategic outcomes - Legal identity and rights for all; Good governance and accountability; and Reliable statistics - would be achieved by 2022.

User Satisfaction Survey Report - 2016/2017
The 2016/17 USS was conducted to measure the degree to which needs of data users are satisfied with regard to available official statistics and capture their potential expectations. As in the previous surveys, more attention was on the level of usefulness of official statistics to support decision making and planning processes, level of users' understanding of official statistics dissemination, analysis, timeliness and frequency of released statistics, and areas that need further improvement.

Teachers's discussion guide for reading data with children
Since 2015, around the celebration of the African Statistics Day (ASD), the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) in collaboration with UNICEF Rwanda organizes the “Reading Data with Children”, an event that brings together around 50 children to be trained in reading statistical reports, especially those related directly to their lives, using children friendly readable visualizations with data from Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) and EICV.
